Greetings to the galaxy of stars at Sussex Ave. School,

Sussex Avenue is truly a great school.  The staff is extremely dedicated and always goes above and beyond, the parents are genuinely involved in the education process and the students are always eager to do their best and make our school shine. 

We began our school year with a New Year’s celebration and have continued to share in activities that bring us closer day-by-day.  Our monthly Spirit Assemblies are provided to give us an opportunity to come together as a whole school and share in some of our accomplishments and to do what I love, dance.  I am always impressed by our children and the wonderful things that they are doing in their classes.  This is why I’ve made it a priority to visit as many classrooms as I can on a daily basis.  

One of my many goals is to establish an environment where everyone will see that we are all proud to be Sussex Stars.  We have a mascot design that the whole school participated in selecting, and that appears on various items of clothing. 

Everyone at Sussex Avenue Elementary School reaches for the stars.  Our brilliance will never fade.
